Welcome to the neighborhood.

Our re-opening is right around the corner.

Excited? Book your table.

If you told me at 13 years old that my life would expand beyond Watts and lead me into kitchens around the world, mentorship from some of the greatest chefs alive, and eventually into my own restaurant, I would not have believed you.

Food changed my life.

What started as my first kitchen job at Locol in Watts with no formal experience became a journey that gave me purpose, discipline, creativity, and a new way to see the world. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to travel, study cuisines and cultures that shaped my perspective, write a book, appear on television, and stand as a two-time James Beard Award nominee. Today, Alta has become a Michelin-recognized restaurant rooted in Los Angeles and shaped by the city that raised me.

But none of those moments compare to what I feel every night inside this restaurant.

Feeding people is still the greatest joy of my life.

Alta has always been deeply personal to me. It is more than a restaurant. It is a reflection of growth, memory, fire, migration, culture, and the city that continues to inspire me every day.

As I’ve evolved, Alta has evolved with me.

The food has become more focused, more intentional, and more reflective of Los Angeles itself. Every detail of the experience is shaped by seasonality, hospitality, creativity, and the energy of the city we call home.

This next chapter means everything to me. And I’m grateful to share it with you.
